Oracle is seeking a software engineer to define and develop software for tasks related to developing, debugging, or designing applications or operating systems. You will provide technical leadership to other software developers and specify and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

The role requires 4+ years of software engineering experience, a BS/MS in CS, and proficiency in Java.

Job Description

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

4+ years of software engineering experience.

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Java.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
• Experience with REST API and service-oriented development

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
• Experience delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems.
• Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, etc.
• Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure is a strong plus.
• Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies is a plus.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $89,200 - $209,500 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
