Job Description

Entity: Oracle America, Inc.

Job Duties: Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software. As a member of the software engineering division, apply knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and/or suggest improvements to the architecture. May telecommute. (385.34770)

Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a software developer-related occupation.

Position requires:

• At least two of the following programming languages: Java, Python, C++, or C#;
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs;
• High-level system design experience building and operating large-scale, highly distributed systems;
• At least two of the following databases: Cassandra, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or PostgreSQL;
• Experience with caching solutions such as Redis or Memcached;
• Experience with streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka;
• Experience with Machine Learning or Deep Learning systems;
• Experience with cloud architectures such as OCI, AWS, or Azure;
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm;
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Ansible and Jenkins, and familiarity with ETL Pipelines;
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as ELK, CloudWatch, Grafana and Prometheus;
• Experience with authentication and authorization technologies such as JWT and OAuth2;
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Junit, Mockito, Jest or Cypress; and
• Experience with build tools and package managers such as Maven, Gradle, NPM or yarn.
