Job summary

Robotics Technologies LLC is seeking a qualified Software Developer to design, implement, and optimize GraphQL APIs using Node.js. You will shape schemas, resolvers, and subscriptions, and ensure secure, scalable integration with databases and external services.

You will collaborate with frontend teams to define API contracts and contribute to CI/CD improvements while delivering automated tests with Jest, Mocha, or Supertest.

Qualifications

• Experience designing GraphQL schemas, resolvers, and subscriptions.
• Experience with schema federation or stitching (Apollo Federation).
• Experience with DataLoader, batching, and caching to optimize performance.
• Experience integrating PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Experience securing APIs with authentication, authorization, RBAC, rate limiting.
• Experience with REST and gRPC integrations and microservices.

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer specializing in GraphQL and Node.js to design, develop, and optimize scalable APIs and microservices. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in GraphQL schema design, resolver optimization, API security, and backend integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain GraphQL APIs, including schemas, queries, mutations, and subscriptions.
• Implement schema federation or stitching using Apollo Federation or similar technologies.
• Optimize GraphQL performance using DataLoader, batching, caching, and query complexity controls to prevent N+1 issues.
• Integrate relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Integrate REST APIs, gRPC services, and third-party platforms into GraphQL data layers.
• Implement API security, including authentication, authorization, RBAC, rate limiting, and query depth restrictions.
• Troubleshoot and optimize API latency, throughput, scalability, and memory usage.
• Develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Jest, Mocha, or Supertest.
• Collaborate with frontend teams to define API contracts and support web and mobile applications.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and CI/CD improvements.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with GraphQL API development and Node.js.
• Experience with GraphQL schemas, resolvers, queries, mutations, subscriptions, and API integration.
• Knowledge of Apollo Server, Apollo Federation, DataLoader, and caching strategies.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and REST/gRPC integrations.
• Understanding of API security, performance optimization, automated testing, and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience integrating GraphQL with React, iOS, Android, or other frontend applications.
• Knowledge of Redis and CDN/edge caching.
• Experience with production-scale API monitoring, debugging, and performance tuning.
