Job Location: California, specifically the Bay Area: either San Jose or Burlingame

Overview: General Mortgage Capital Corporation is seeking a motivated, passionate, and talented individual to join our in house software development team. This will be a technical role developing applications and maintaining databases for our company's MLOs. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting‑edge projects that leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to solve problems and optimize processes to benefit our organizational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Lead efforts on developing a frontend and backend system for MLOs to have easy access to our resource database.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy web applications and services using contemporary programming languages, frameworks, and tools for both front‑end and back‑end development.
• Lead the software production process, taking ownership of assigned features from inception to completion, including mockups, design documents/reviews, acceptance testing, and deployment.
• Lead in data collection, preprocessing, and analysis to support model training and validation.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of AI applications.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI research and technology to contribute innovative ideas to the team.
• Document code, processes, and results for future reference and knowledge sharing.
• Monitoring team and regularly presenting or sharing updates with C‑suite.

Requirements:

• BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields, preferably with an AI/ML focus.
• 1 to 2 or more years of hands‑on experience in developing AI and ML‑based applications across diverse industries.
• Strong understanding of concepts in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning with skills to put concepts into practice.
• Have a strong understanding of the mortgage lending business and an interest in business applications of AI.
• Hands‑on experience with popular machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and libraries (e.g., scikit‑learn).
• Demonstrate strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Possess strong passion and self‑drive in order to begin initiatives on your own.
• English proficiency with excellent interpersonal skills (e.g., presenting, conflict mediation).
