Job description

Responsibilities

• Software Design & Development: Define, architect, and implement financial technology features using Java, Scala, SQL, PySpark, PigScript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, Python, and related tools.
• Algorithm Implementation: Analyze user experience and design algorithms to transform collected data into inputs consumable by financial forecasting and advisory models.
• Code Quality & Testing: Build efficient, reusable, and well-tested software components; implement unit tests and validate application logic, financial algorithms, and investment management processes.
• Collaboration: Partner with financial researchers, analysts, and IT professionals to integrate financial methodologies into production systems and deliver robust solutions.
• Documentation & Packaging: Document system designs, algorithms, and processes; package and deliver Java-based software components for deployment.
• Continuous Improvement: Refine and optimize existing software modules, ensuring performance, scalability, and alignment with evolving business needs.
• Support & Integration: Provide technical expertise to internal teams and clients, assisting in the integration of solutions into business processes and strategic initiatives.
• Analyze user experience and develop algorithms that take the information collected in the user experience and transform them into inputs that are understood by the financial algorithms.
• Designing and building efficient, well tested, and reusable code.
• Collaborate with financial research team in investigating and articulating the financial methodologies that drive the forecast, advice, and analysis functionality in financial products and services.
• Implement, and package all our work in Java to deliver software.
• Unit test and validate financial algorithms and application/domain logic with investment management.
