Software Developer The Opportunity:

As a Junior Software developer, you can work independently with some guidance to resolve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast, agile environment. We’re seeking an experienced developer with object‑oriented programming skills to develop, test, maintain existing software, and build CI/CD pipelines for deployment. This role is more than just coding. As a Junior Software developer at Booz Allen, you’ll use your passion to master new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You’ll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You’ll make sure the solution developed by the team considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. You Have:
  • Experience in software development
  • Experience in creating solutions to problems within a collaborative, cross‑functional team
  • Knowledge of databases and Object‑Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks
  • Knowledge of programming languages, including C#, Python, or Java
  • Knowledge of deploying software using CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of version control, including Git
  • Knowledge of REST APIs
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II Certification, including Security+, within 30 days of start date
Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with DevSecOps CI/CD tools, including GitLab
  • Experience with C#, .NET and .NET Core, Web API, MVC, or LINQ
  • Experience with database technologies, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
  • Experience with Scripting languages, including PowerShell or Python
  • Experience with JavaScript libraries and frameworks, including jQuery, d3, React, or Vue
  • Experience with Containers, including Docker or Kubernetes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
