Job summary

CDIT is seeking a Software Developer to join an award-winning team in North Charleston, focused on delivering secure and scalable software for critical defense systems.

You will write robust code, refactor legacy systems, and work with analysts, designers, and SMEs to translate requirements into functioning software while maintaining high standards for security and quality.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ experience as a software developer.
• Ability to follow established development processes and procedures to include Sprint planning and code reviews.
• Experience with Continuous Delivery pipelines.
• Strong verbal/written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment and interface with customers.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to debug / trace code and resolve issues quickly.
• Familiarity and experience with DevOps / SecDevOps.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physics, Network Security, Information Systems or Computer Science.

• Analyze, review, and rewrite programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
• Actively participate in planning activities, artifact creation, full-stack development, testing, and demonstrations.
• Analyze project-related problems and create innovative solutions involving scheduling, technology, methodology, tools, and solution components.
• Develop application changes and automated test.
• Assist with other program efforts (such as test automation, configuration management, etc.).

Produces detailed specifications and writes software code. Works closely with business analysts, designers, and subject matter experts to understand functional requirements. Supports formal testing in controlled environment before code is promoted to production. Adheres to program configuration change control standards. Writes interfaces and conversion routines leveraging the application programmatic interface (API). Extends applications by using applicable application tools.
