Software Developer (Champaign, IL)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer to join our growing team. You will take ownership of technical projects from concept through deployment while working closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative, scalable solutions that drive business success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of technical products and software solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand underlying business needs and translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Evaluate and improve existing systems, applications, and processes by identifying opportunities for innovation and increased efficiency.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software applications using modern development practices.
• Take ownership of projects throughout the full software development lifecycle, from planning and architecture through implementation and maintenance.

Qualifications:

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Strong programming experience in C#/.NET or another object-oriented programming language such as Java or Python.
• Experience working with SQL databases and relational database design.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, object-oriented programming, and application architecture.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and own projects from inception through completion.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for technology, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Ability to quickly develop business and domain knowledge to deliver impactful software solutions.

Preferred

• Experience within the Financial Services industry.
• Strong academic background with a minimum 3.3 GPA (or international equivalent) from a recognized university.
• Demonstrated passion for learning new technologies and applying them to solve real-world business challenges.

This position is an onsite position based in Champaign, IL, ideally targeting $100k-$140k/base (negotiable based on experience).
