As a sof tware sustainment engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll have an operational impact from day one. With a team of professionals, you’ll maintain applications and keep systems working. You and your team will use programming and scripting languages as you continuously enhance and maintain applications, troubleshoot any issues that arise operationally, and upgrade systems to meet security requirements.

You Have:

• 3+ years of experience developing and sustaining Python applications, including concurrent or multi-process systems, in an Agile environment
• Experience working with real-time or event-driven architectures such as queues, and producer or consumer pipelines, or distributed or microservices systems
• Experience with AWS cloud services, including S3, Batch, Lambda, or Step Functions
• Experience designing, debugging, and testing sof tware components against design specifications, including unit or integration testing
• Knowledge of source control such as Git, and CI / CD pipelines in a DevSecOps environment
• Ability to lead design and code reviews, and collaborate cross-functionally
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with AWS Batch, ECR, Step Functions, OpenSearch, SQS / SNS, or Kinesis
• Experience applying statistical or optimization met hods in code such as similarity or distance scoring, probabilistic matching, or optimal assignment or matching algorithms
• Experience with Flask or another lightweight Python web framework
• Experience with containerization such as Docker, and Infrastructure-as-Code such as CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation
• Experience with scientific or geospatial Python libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, pandas, or pyproj, for processing scientific data
• Knowledge of shell scripting and build or deployment automation
• Ability to comprehend scientific algorithms and the theories backing them
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
