Job summary

Caseware is seeking a Software Developer in Test (SDET) to join our quality engineering team and drive scalable testing, automation, and developer enablement on our SaaS platform.

You will partner with product teams to embed quality through tooling, CI/CD, and modern testing approaches, enabling velocity while maintaining trust and quality in a cloud-native environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of quality engineering experience in SaaS or cloud-native platforms.
• Experience building scalable automated testing infrastructure and CI/CD integration.
• Knowledge of testing strategies across the pyramid from unit to E2E.
• Strong front-end testing fluency in HTML/CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Embed quality into every phase of development through tooling, automation, and reporting.
• Improve CI/CD workflows and test data setup to speed up feedback loops.
• Lead testing initiatives across distributed teams and regions.

We’re hiring a Software Developer in Test (SDET) to join the quality engineering team on one ofCaseware’sSaaS Platform teams—driving scalable, modern approaches to testing, automation, and developer enablement. Reporting into the Central Quality function and working within the SE Platform team, this role is uniquely positioned to drive the quality strategy across foundational platform areas that underpin our most critical innovations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Being part of the Central Quality Engineering Function

Represent the team of Software Developers in Test (SDETs) who partner closely with product teams to embed quality into every phase of development—through tooling, automation, infrastructure,reportingand best practices.

• Practice Quality Strategy Across the Platform

Contribute within a modern quality strategy tailored to the demands of a rapidly scaling SaaS platform. Impact through improvements within the test pyramid, shifting away from sole UI-based validation towards lower levels of testing to increase reliability.

Contribute to Improving CI/CD and Developer Workflows

Enhance the stability and speed of our E2E tests by making improvements to test data setup processes test isolation, and execution reliability. Ensuring quality is built in from development to deployment without sacrificing team velocity and promoting actionable test failure signals to shorten feedback loops and increase developer confidence. Champion tooling and practices that reduce flaky tests and noisy signals.

• Functional Testing, from Idea to Value delivered

Work with the test team to ensuretimelycompletion of functionality and enhancements as driven by the roadmaps for the team. Provide horizontal support across the test team where necessary to take the team to the finish line. Participate in all the testing phases to positivelyimpactlead time to valuewith agentic testing capabilities andleveragingthe AI Test Harnesses applied within the QE space.

• Drive Quality KPIs

Contribute towardskey DORA metrics such as test coverage, defect trends, test effectiveness andexecutionhealth, flakiness, and regression rates. Use these insights to continually refine the quality practices and guide investments in automation and infrastructure.

What You Will Bring

• 2+ years' experience working in Quality Engineering teams within modern SaaS or platform organizations in cloud-native environments ( AWS).

• Expertisein working with scaling automated testing infrastructure, including integration with modern CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Workflows).

• Knowledge of testing strategies and tools across the pyramid, from unit to E2E, includingapicontract and integration testing (Cypress, Pact, K6).

• Solid front-end knowledge and testing fluency in HTML/CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript, enabling effective collaboration across full-stack teams.

• Familiarity with observability tools and best practices for improving test signal and pipeline feedback loops.

• Strong communicationand coaching skills with the ability to influence fellow engineering and product stakeholders across theorg.

• Foster a cross platform collaborative testing mindset to ensure quality flows through theCasewareCloud Ecosystem

• Experience leading testing initiatives for distributed teams across multiple regions

• Experience in integrating QA tools like Zephyr Scale and on-prem CI/CD systems (GitHub)

• A strategic growth mindset paired with a desire to learn and mentor others with a pragmatic, system-thinking approach to quality at scale.

• Keen interestand knowledge of thelatest industry trendsinAI powered Testingtools like CoPilot, Devin and Claude will bea bonus.
