Amazon's EC2 Nitro team in Seattle is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to help design and scale next-gen EC2 Nitro platforms and compute primitives for high-performance workloads.

You will work across software, architecture, and operations to deliver robust, scalable services in a fast-paced cloud environment, participating in design reviews, code development, testing, and on-call responsibilities.

Experience and Education
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Knowledge of computer architecture, operating systems, and parallel computing
