Amazon.com Services LLC in Bellevue, WA seeks an SDE I to join the Delivery Experience Speed Tech (DEX Speed Tech) team, building features for sub-same day and ultra-fast delivery that directly impact customer experience and delivery operations.
You will design scalable solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, write clean code with tests, participate in reviews, and help reduce latency. A CS degree and 3+ years of software development are preferred.
The Delivery Experience Speed Tech (DEX Speed Tech) team is redefining fast delivery for millions of Amazon customers worldwide—enabling “need-it-now” convenience through innovative programs and technology. We build and launch customer-facing innovations across sub-same day (SSD) and ultra-fast delivery services, working at the intersection of software, fulfillment, and retail operations.
As an SDE 1 on the DEX Speed Tech team, you'll develop customer-facing features for sub-same day (SSD) and ultra-fast delivery services. You'll work in a dynamic environment where your code directly impacts customer experience and delivery operations.
You will be working in a fast-paced environment, on a team of smart software engineers, to design and build the right technical solutions to meet the needs of the business. You will have direct ownership over the design of new components aimed at improving the platform's extensibility, scalability, availability, and latency. We care about both delighting customers and high quality software; we don’t sacrifice one for the other. We’re looking for someone with a demonstrated track record of highly-scalable, global software solutions.
Delivery speed is one of the biggest areas of investment for the Consumer business. We are the team responsible for launching Sub-Same-Day Delivery and Rush shopping experiences for customers, and we're looking for the right Engineers to help us tackle a bold, boundary-pushing agenda.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
