Job summary

Collabera in Redmond, WA seeks an experienced software engineer to design and implement automation solutions and testing campaigns. This role emphasizes Python and Java, with a focus on reliability, monitoring, and collaboration across engineering teams.

The position requires 5+ years in software development, leadership in design or architecture, and willingness to work evening shifts starting at 6 PM with long shifts. On-call rotations within 4 weeks of onboarding are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.

Responsibilities

• Strong Programming/Coding Skills Preference for Python and Java.
• Design and implement automation solutions.
• Develop monitoring and diagnostic tools to ensure reliability and early fault detection.
• Collaborate with other teams to align automation with Kuiper’s operational objectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, improving stability and performance of test processes.
• Mentorship to junior engineers and code quality improvement.
• Conceptualize and execute a test campaign with functionality and performance. Engage with systems, hardware, and software development engineering teams
• Troubleshoot deeply: anticipate failures, collect data, analyze log files, compare models to observed behavior, root cause.
• Enhance testing efficiency by automating test execution and analysis.

Duration: 12 Months (With Possibility of Extension/Conversion)

Location: Redmond, WA

Pay Range: $50 - $55/hr

Note:

• This position will require evening shifts starting at 6 PM with 8-9 hour shifts
• Candidates must be ready for on-call rotation within 4 weeks of onboarding

• Enhance testing efficiency by automating test execution and analysis.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

Top 3 Must Have Hard Skills:

• Coding Skills Preference for Python
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical

Nice to haves:

• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• At least one software programming language
• Learn and Be Curious
