Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer II for the BuyForMe - MultiAgentFramework team in Seattle, WA. You will contribute to building LLM-powered solutions for the BuyForMe product, enabling customers to discover and purchase products across merchants.

You will collaborate with product, science, and design teams, shape technical direction, and deliver customer-facing capabilities. The environment is startup-like within Amazon, requiring ownership and comfort with ambiguity.

We are seeking a passionate, innovative, and highly skilled and stellar software engineers to help build LLM-powered solutions for Amazon’s BuyForMe product, which enables Amazon customers to discover and purchase products from any merchants. This team develops agentic AI framework and capabilities that power a seamless, end-to-end shopping experience for Amazon customers. This is a fast paced, highly collaborative startup-like environment inside Amazon. To be successful you need to be flexible, entrepreneurial, and comfortable operating with ambiguity. You are a true owner - you think backwards from the customer experience, are passionate about the potential customer impact and will operate at all levels. You will be able to create new innovative customer experiences from ideation to prototype to production, as well as shape the team roadmap with your innovations.

Key job responsibilities

• You will be responsible for contributing to team by delivering code, helping set team's technical vision, architecture, and development practices.
• You will be responsible for delivering key customer facing capabilities, delivering high quality artifacts.
• You will be responsible for raising the bar for the team's culture and helping grow the talent on the team.
• You will work closely across product, science, and design job families to come up with new solutions for customers.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

USA, WA, Seattle - 143,700.00 - 194,400.00 USD annually
