Job summary

Church seeks a Software Development Engineer in Test 2 for the Relationship Mgmt Team in Lehi, Utah. This hybrid, 5-year fixed-term role participates in developing and maintaining test software under a technical lead, solving moderately sophisticated issues, and completing programming and QA tasks with limited supervision.

The candidate will work with divine guidance to support technology that furthers the Church’s mission, with early to late-career applicants encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent professional work experience.
• Three years of progressive relevant professional experience or significant internship.
• Verifiable knowledge of the applicable technical systems and functions.
• Ability to communicate clearly both orally and written.
• Moderate ability to solve problems in a timely manner.
• Intermediate skill in engineering/programming, analytical/diagnostic/troubleshooting, web technology, and programming methodology.

Responsibilities

• Improve automated testing harness and framework for executing tests and reporting quality.
• Develop automated test code for software projects.
• Draft test plans and scripts aligned with standards and IT strategy.
• Create test data including valid and invalid records to test logic and flow.
• Coordinate with users for user acceptance testing and beta testing.
• Ensure tests are completed and documented; resolve issues in Continuous Delivery model.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical docs.
• Engage in Defect Management to identify and fix issues.
• Influence design, testing, and security measures for reliability.
• Align with policies and regulatory requirements across the team.
• Assess risk and test robustness in a Continuous Delivery environment.
