Job summary

Solerity, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Software and Database Developer to support IGC software development, application modernization, and database development activities. You will build secure components, including RESTful APIs and data-access layers, while focusing on SQL development and data modeling.

You will work in Agile teams, tune queries for performance, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Git and GitLab. A bachelor’s degree and security clearance are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Secret Clearance Required.
• 4+ years of professional software development or database development experience.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar languages.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, web services, or enterprise apps.
• Strong SQL development, query optimization, and data modeling.
• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora, SQL Server, or similar databases.
• Git and CI/CD workflow experience; Agile methods and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise application and database components including APIs and microservices.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, schemas, views, indexes, functions, and stored procedures.
• Create and maintain data models for application needs, analytics, and reporting.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, data quality, and performance issues; perform query tuning and indexing.
• Develop scripts for data loading, transformation, validation, deployment, and environment support.
• Support database modernization including Aurora/RDS and schema conversion with migration direction.
• Use Git and GitLab CI/CD to build, test, and deploy changes per release processes.
• Apply secure coding and database-security practices aligned with DoD RMF and STIGs.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, testing, and technical documentation.
