Job summary

Judge Group, Inc. seeks a Software & Controls Engineer II in Santa Rosa, CA to design, develop, and maintain software and control systems for automated manufacturing and testing environments.

Ideal candidates have PLC programming, electrical controls, and software development experience, and will collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production to improve reliability and equipment performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Computer, Software, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 1–2 years in industrial automation, PLC programming, control systems, or equipment support.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical controls, instrumentation, sensors, actuators, motor controls, and electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control drawings, I/O documentation, and mechanical drawings.
• Experience developing, modifying, testing, or debugging software used in manufacturing or industrial control systems.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation and engineering records.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, test, and maintain software applications and control systems used in automated manufacturing and testing equipment.
• Develop and troubleshoot PLC programs, HMI applications, instrumentation, sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces.
• Support integration and optimization of automation systems to improve operational efficiency and equipment performance.
• Participate in software validation, testing, commissioning, and deployment activities.
