Socket.dev in South Carolina is seeking an Automation Technician to inspect, maintain, and debug control systems and related equipment across multiple factories. You will assess hardware and software, identify failure risks, and take actions to prevent downtime.
You will prepare automation equipment accounts for each factory, back up programs, and oversee transformation or upgrade plans. Collaborating with equipment manufacturers, you will support debugging during downtime and evaluate new
Resolving issues with programs and control system related equipment failure maintenance. Performing hardware and software maintenance, performing routine equipment inspection, identifying potential failure risks, and taking action to prevent downtime. Prepare automation equipment account. Prepare and verify the automation equipment account of each factory. Applying the spare parts requisition list relating to automation equipment. Regularly backing up and/or revising automation program and ensuring the reliability of backup. Preparing transformation or upgrade plan, responsible for supervision of the implementation of transformation/upgrade plan. Responsible for debugging through for all related product affected by the transformation/upgrade. Responsible for new product related program and control system development and debugging. Collaborating with equipment manufacturers to provide technical support and debugging in case of equipment failure and software downtime. Evaluating the viability of new testing equipment development.
Associates’ degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Automation or closely related field and must have one year of experience in the following:
