Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in the Huntsville, AL area is seeking a Sr. Principal/ Principal Software Configuration Analyst to establish and enforce software configuration management across large and small programs.

The role requires coordinating builds, managing SCM tools, and contributing to process improvements. The candidate must have a STEM degree with significant related experience (Level 3/4) and the ability to obtain DoD clearance.

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in the Huntsville, AL area is seeing a Sr. Principal/ Principal Software Configuration Analyst to help develop, enforce, and maintain Software Configuration Management (SCM) processes on large- and small-scale programs in accordance with the Organization’s Standard Software Process (OSSP) and contractual requirements.

Basic Qualifications

Level 3: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related work experience, or a Master’s Degree and 3 years of related work experience, or 1 year of related work experience with a PhD. in STEM.

Level 4: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience, or a Master’s Degree and 6 years of related experience, or 4 years of experience with a PhD.

Must have prior work experience in software configuration management

Must have experience with coordinating/creating configured builds for test and delivery

Understanding of SCM principles, concepts, industry practices and standards is required

Experience with multiple tools and environments (Git, Bitbucket, Jira, ClearCase, ClearQuest, Linux and Windows)

Ability to Obtain a D.O.D issued clearance, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with implementing SCM on a large-scale program
• Experience in configuring and administering DevOps tools, including Jenkins, Gitlab Pipelines/Runners to streamline CI/CD processes
• Experience in scripting languages such as Bash, Python or PowerShell Active DoD Secret clearance or higher

Salary and Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,900.00 - $148,300.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $123,400.00 - $185,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
