ASM Research is seeking a Junior IT Configuration Analyst to support configuration management in a federal IT environment. You will collect and validate configuration item data, assist with audits, and help ensure CMDB accuracy across infrastructure and applications.
Under supervision, you will use ITSM/CMDB tools, perform basic queries, and contribute to risk assessment and incident/problem/change management activities while maintaining governance and data quality.
The IT Configuration Analyst, Junior supports configuration management activities that keep the enterprise configuration management database (CMDB) accurate, complete, and reliable across infrastructure and application services. The role focuses on collecting, validating, and updating configuration item (CI) records so that the environment’s current state is consistently reflected for operational and governance needs.
Working under the direction of senior configuration and service management staff, this position assists with configuration audits, data quality checks, and analysis that enable effective incident, change, and problem management. The analyst helps ensure configuration data can be confidently used for impact analysis, risk assessment, and decision‑making across a federal IT environment.
Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract‑specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience.
