Job summary

Kyndryl in Frisco, TX is seeking an experienced Software Architect to lead the design and development of cutting-edge software applications onsite. You will create technical blueprints, set product/solution architecture, and guide the team to deliver cohesive software solutions.

Your leadership and communication will enable collaboration with Marketing Managers, Product Managers, Programmers, and Engineers to meet business and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Five years of software architecture experience, including 3+ years in cloud-native development or architecture.
• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and API design.
• Experience with end-to-end product development and DevOps practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef or Terraform.
• Experience with containerization and DevOps tooling; distributed systems with K8s/Helm.
• Networking knowledge.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

This position is for a government client and we can only hire US citizens or full green card holders.

The successful candidate will work onsite 5 days a week in Frisco, TX

• 5 years of experience of relevant work experience in software architecture; out of them 3+ years in cloud native software development or architecture
• Strong computer science fundamentals, with a focus on data structures, algorithms, and API design
• Solid understanding of end-to-end product development phases having participated in them
• In-depth understanding of development best practices

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with one or more automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform
• Experience with containerization packaging, tooling, and DevOps methodologies
• Experience in management and orchestration for distributed federated edge K8S clusters like Helm
• Understanding of computer networking and protocols

The base compensation range for the position in the U.S. is -

$115,080to$218,520based on a full-time schedule reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Kyndryl, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting.

Your actual compensation may vary depending on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction, including, but not limited to, geography, relevant job-related skills, education and experience, certification and licenses, internal pay equity, and market and business consideration. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.

There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:

California (All Other):$126,600to$240,480

Massachusetts/ Virginia:$115,080to$240,480

New York City: $138,120to$262,320

Washington: $126,600to$240,480

Washington DC:$126,600to$240,480

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
