Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) is seeking a Software Applications Engineer to develop analytics software and ETL workflows, transforming data into actionable insights. You'll build RPA-enabled ETL pipelines from on-premises sources to a cloud data warehouse and create ML-ready feature pipelines in Databricks.

You will productize Power BI visualizations, design real-time dashboards for manufacturing and inventory, and apply row-level security to protect data across reports and databases.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in data analytics, data science, computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • Experience with data analytics, ML, NLP, and data visualization.
  • Experience with Python, R, or Ruby and data warehousing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement techniques or analytics software applications to transform data into meaningful information.
  • Design and implement RPA-integrated automated ETL workflows to extract data from on-premises data warehouses, ERP tool APIs, Foundry subscription emails, and SharePoint files into a cloud data warehouse.
  • Develop performance-optimized data transformations and ML-ready feature pipelines in Databricks with delta lake architecture.
  • Productize Power BI application to provide end-to-end visibility into the product lifecycle.
  • Design interactive dashboards to enable real-time visibility into data re inventory movements across manufacturing and distribution stages.
  • Implement security restrictions via SQL-based row-level security across database objects and reports.
  • Orchestrate secure integration into cloud warehouse; develop modular data models; analyze large datasets; apply data mining, ML, NLP.

Job Role and Responsibility:

AMD, Inc., is hiring Software Applications Engineer to Develop and implement techniques or analytics software applications to transform data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software. Design and implement RPA-integrated automated ETL workflows to extract data from on-premises data warehouses, ERP tool APIs, Foundry subscription emails, and SharePoint files into a cloud data warehouse. Develop performance optimized data transformations and ML ready feature pipelines in Databricks, leveraging delta lake architecture. Utilize VBA stewardship process to upload data, streamlining complex data ingestion processes within the enterprise data architecture. Productize Power BI application to provide end-to-end visibility into the product lifecycle, tracking material movement throughout manufacturing and fabrication processes. Design interactive dashboards to enable real-time visibility into data re inventory movements across various manufacturing, storage, and distribution stages. Implement custom SQL-based row-level security mechanisms across all database objects and Power BI reports to ensure restricted access based on compliance with business policies. Orchestrate secure integration into cloud warehouse. Develop modular data models. Analyze, manipulate, or process large sets of data using statistical software. Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets. Test, validate, and reformulate models. Under supervision, exercise judgment within defined company procedures and practices to select methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

  • Developing data models and scripts.
