Job summary

MANTECH seeks a Software Application Support Engineer to join our technical support team in Chantilly, VA. You’ll be the technical expert for our custom software applications, assisting enterprise clients and internal users with complex configurations and integrations.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/MIS or equivalent, 4+ years in technical software support, and strong SQL, HTML/CSS/JS, RESTful APIs, and cloud experience (AWS/Azure). TS/SCI with Poly is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent tech degree with 4+ years in technical software support.
• Strong SQL to verify data and troubleshoot issues.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and browser developer tools.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs; experience with Postman or log viewers.
• Familiarity with AWS/Azure cloud architectures and SaaS apps.
• Experience using ServiceNow for enterprise support.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex application errors and workflow issues.
• Write basic to intermediate queries to verify data and troubleshoot reporting.
• Review API payloads and logs to identify data exchange failures.
• Document troubleshooting steps and communicate with customers in tickets.
• Replicate and document defects for escalation to Product/QA teams.
• Create and maintain user-facing help articles and knowledge base content.
