Job Description

The position requires advanced knowledge of and the ability to implement solutions involving data structures, object-oriented analysis and design, object-oriented software engineering, network technologies and protocols, device management protocols, security protocols and business processes, inventory lifecycle, server virtualization, server operating systems, logical volume management, presentation technologies, data conversion, and complex deal contracts, clauses and project management.

The position interfaces with Customers, PMO, Service management leads, and Transition Leads, as well as internal and external Subject Matter Experts.

Technical Requirements

• Data and Structures: Object to Relational Mapping, Class Table, Concrete Table and Single Table Inheritance
• Database systems and clients: Maria/MySQL 5.x and up
• Object Oriented Software Engineering: Class inheritance, polymorphism, encapsulation
• Programming languages: Ruby 1.8 and later, Ruby on Rails 1.x to 4.x
• Web Technologies/languages/markup
• Server System: Linux, Opens use (13.x, Leap), Red hat, deployments, os installation, security practices
• Networking: SSH, tunneling, misc. tcp and udp services
• Misc.: shell scripting, cron, net cat, net stat, vi, resync, xfs, extfs, btrfs, top, htop, df, du, sudo
• Development approaches: Experience in all positions of SDLC
• Telecom: business WAN/LAN and other services
• Business and Statistical Analysis: Proper use of Aggregate functions and applied visualizations
