Degenkolb Engineers is seeking an experienced Application Developer to develop and support custom applications for the firm across two areas — Applied Technology Team (ATT) engineering applications and Information Systems (IS) business applications — using Python, React, SQL databases, and Azure deployment. Working under the direction of the IT Director, the Director of Engineering Technology, and with other developers, the Application Developer builds application features, assists with deployment and maintenance, and utilizes the firm's development standards and platforms. This hybrid position can be based near any of these offices: Detroit, Los Angeles, Oakland, Orange, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, or Seattle.
The ideal candidate is a versatile application developer with at least five years of experience building and supporting custom business and engineering applications using Python, React, SQL, and Azure. Experience with AI-assisted development, Microsoft Power Platform, and collaborative development practices such as documentation, QA/QC, and code review will help them succeed in this role.
