Job summary

Christy Sports is seeking a Softgoods Supervisor in Montana to lead the softgoods sales team, manage department inventory, and deliver an outstanding mountain lifestyle experience to guests.

You will greet customers, build rapport through product knowledge, close sales, merchandise the floor, and support store leadership. This role offers hourly pay $20-$24 plus commission, a free ski pass, employee discounts, growth opportunities, and a collaborative team that loves the outdoors.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail orGuest-facing roles preferred.
• Must be comfortable with ski/snowboard gear and related products.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Summary Description

Reporting to the Store Manager, this position is responsible for the management of the Softgoods sales staff and department inventory control.

What You'll Be Doing (Besides Planning Your Next Run):

• Greet all customers in the store
• Develop a rapport with the customers through conversation to understand their needs
• Build trust from the customer through product knowledge and the delivery of accurate information
• Bring the sale to a successful close
• Expand the sale by demonstrating knowledge of accessory and/or related products or warranty agreements as appropriate for the needs of the customer
• Operate the cash register to complete the sale
• Merchandise the store by stocking shelves, counters, or tables with products
• Other duties as assigned

What Makes You a Fit:

• Be Friendly, outgoing and comfortable working with people
• Love to ski or snowboard and some knowledge of how it all works
• Have basic computer skills
• English fluency, written and verbal
• Need to be flexible in your schedule to get the most out of ski time, including working split shifts, nights, holidays and weekends
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and regularly lift 25 pounds
