Job summary

North Allegheny School District is seeking a varsity softball assistant coach for the Spring 2027 season. The assistant will support the Head Coach to supervise, coordinate, and promote all aspects of the interscholastic softball program.

Candidates must complete required clearances and trainings (TB test, PA Criminal Record, Act 126 mandated reporter, Act 168 disclosures) and annual safety trainings. This is a supplemental contract position with duties aligned to the district's athletic program.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching softball or athletic programs preferred.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate activities with student-athletes.
• Familiarity with safety and athletic program guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach to supervise and promote all phases of the softball program.
• Coordinate drills, practice plans, and game-day operations.
• Support student-athletes’ development and sportsmanship.

The North Allegheny School District Athletic Department seeks aSoftball - Varisty Assistant Coacheffective for the Spring 2027 Season.
The Assistant coach will assist and support the Head Coach to supervise, coordinate, and promote all phases of the interscholastic softball program.

This is a supplemental contract position only.
The successful candidate will be required to submit:

• Physical and TB Test
• Child Abuse History Clearance
• PA Criminal Record Check
• Must be completed within the last 12 months
• Act 126: Mandated Reporter of Child Abuse Training
  • Must have completion date after January 1, 2023
• Act 168: Sexual Misconduct Abuse Disclosure Releases
  • Human Resources will also mail a new hire packet to you with required documents needed for payroll and employment purposes.
• Complete annual trainings for Heat Acclimation, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Concussions, First Aid/CPR, Coaching Principles, and all other training required by the District
