Job summary

Sunnyside Unified School District in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Assistant Coach for middle school athletics to coach players, manage equipment and uniforms, and enforce eligibility rules for fair participation.

The role involves coordinating game logistics and transportation, scheduling facilities, and attending league meetings when possible, while promoting sportsmanship and teamwork among students. CPR and First Aid credentials are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• CPR and First Aid credentials are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory and responsibility for all equipment, supplies, and uniforms.
• Follow and enforce applicable school policies and rules, including eligibility rules and AIA or BCI rules at MS level.
• Ensure the participation of all interested students at MS level.
• Make and verify arrangements for games, including scheduling of facilities, transportation, officials, etc. at MS Level.
• Attend league meetings and activities when appropriate.
• Demonstrates good sportsmanship.

Education
