Job summary

The School District of Lee County's Island Coast High in Cape Coral, Florida seeks a Baseball/Softball Assistant Coach to support practices, game planning, and student-athlete development. Qualifications

• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Prior coaching experience.

• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: FHSAA certification.
• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Any appropriate combination of education, experience, and certifications may be considered.
• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Florida Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, organizing, and conducting regular practice sessions.
• Develop and implement game strategies and tactics.
• Teach fundamental skills, techniques, and rules to student-athletes.
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and trips.
• Promote discipline, responsibility, and sportsmanship among players.
• Ensure compliance with athletic regulations.
• Assist with maintenance of team equipment and uniforms.
• Assist with scheduling and facility use.
• Maintain open communication with parents/guardians.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes on development and college opportunities.
• Enforce school policies and codes of conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Ability to collaborate with school staff, parents, and community partners.
