Job summary

Standex International is seeking a Program / Project Engineer to lead Soft Trim tooling programs from award through tooling build, validation, launch, and production readiness at the Maumee facility. You will coordinate across engineering, tooling, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and customer teams to ensure successful tool acceptance and ramp-up.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
• 5+ years in automotive tooling, manufacturing engineering, or program management.
• Experience with tooling programs through validation, launch, and startup.
• Strong customer-facing communication and project coordination.
• Experience with soft trim tooling, thermoforming, vacuum forming, or related processes.
• Experience with Tier 1 suppliers and/or OEMs.
• Exposure to SAP or similar ERP systems.
• PMP certification or equivalent project leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Soft Trim tooling programs from award to production launch and stabilization.
• Develop and communicate detailed project timing, milestones, and risk assessments.
• Act as primary customer contact for program activities and updates.
• Coordinate cross-functional launch readiness reviews and status meetings.
• Manage tooling design reviews, build coordination, validation, and readiness activities.
• Identify tooling improvements, cost reductions, and process efficiencies.
• Maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners throughout the program lifecycle.
