Job summary

Pharmavite is hiring a Production Operator (Compounder) in the United States to operate and monitor equipment for tablet and softgel manufacturing, following SOPs and safety rules.

You will handle raw materials, adjust mix, monitor temperatures, perform changeovers, and maintain logs. Forklift operations and heavy lifting are required, and weekend/12-hour shifts are expected.

  • Working knowledge of operating in a manufacturing, packaging, or shipping environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math in English.

  • Maintains logs and enters data in the computer.

The Production Operator (Compounder) is responsible for operating, monitoring, and adjusting equipment to assist with the manufacturing of tablets and softgel vitamins, and other steps along the production line, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, safety rules, and good manufacturing processes. While the exact duties may vary from assigned area, including handling heavy machinery such as forklifts. The Production Operator (Compounder) reports to the Department Leader and partners with cross‑functional teams to ensure we produce quality vitamins. Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:

  • Receives, weighs, and subdivides raw materials in strict accordance with manufacturing procedures
  • Loads into automatic equipment and makes necessary adjustments to ensure proper mix of ingredients
  • Monitors process including appropriate temperatures.
  • Troubleshoots any equipment/process problems and resolves as quickly as possible.
  • Performs changeover from one product or batch to another
  • Disassembles and cleans equipment
  • Reassembles equipment for next batch
  • Maintains required logs and other records accurately and completely
  • Uses computer to enter data
  • Operates drum lifter, forklift and/or pallet jack to transport raw materials or finished product, and scales to weigh bulk materials when necessary
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Success Factors & Qualifications

You’ll be most successful in this role if you have:

  • Working knowledge in a manufacturing, packaging, or shipping environment is preferred but not required
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math skills in English

To take on these challenges, you’ll need to have:

  • High School diploma / GED or 9 years equivalency of related work experience.
  • Forklift certification is required within three months in the role.
  • Manual dexterity to manipulate controls, disassemble/assemble equipment using a variety of hand tools.
  • Stand/walk for the majority of the shift and push/pull/lift large containers weighing up to 50 pounds with the use of electric pallet jacks or hand dollies.
  • Pull/push large containers of product and use hand dollies or pallet jacks as necessary.
  • Perform repetitive job duties for long periods of time.
  • The ideal candidate is flexible and adaptable.
  • You are collaborative and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work a 12-hour shift and weekends.

The salary range for this position is $39,000.00 - $63,000.00. Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications, and job‑related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws. Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment.

Pharmavite provides compensation for all overtime hours worked by non-exempt (hourly) employees in accordance with state and federal law. The need to work overtime hours will be determined by management, based on customer and business necessity to meet the needs of our business. Pharmavite may require employees to work overtime. Voluntary overtime requested by non-exempt employees must be approved in advance by the employee’s supervisor.
