Job summary

The Horsham Clinic is seeking a Masters Level Social Worker for weekend coverage. The role involves psychosocial assessments, individual/group/family therapy, and discharge planning within an inpatient psychiatric setting.

Flexibility to float to various units and collaborate with treatment teams is essential. Experience with case management and crisis intervention is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work required.
• LSW/LCSW/LPC/LMFT preferred (not required).
• 3-5 years prior experience with psychiatric mental health population.
• Inpatient psychiatric population experience preferred.
• Knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership, crisis and behavior management.
• Experience running group therapy.
• Flexibility to reassign to units serving varied populations (children—older adults).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial assessments and therapies (individual, group, and family) and participate in treatment planning.
• Discharge planning and crisis intervention with liaison to referral sources and hospital departments.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu and coordinate care under supervision.

Summary

The Social Worker provides clinical social work services on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of The Horsham Clinic and the NASW. The Social Worker is responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, participation in treatment team planning, processing commitments, and discharge planning/case management service, crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital.

The Adult Partial Hospitalization Program Social Worker's essential duties are to provide direct care under the supervision of a Program Coordinator, Attending Psychiatrist, or designee. Primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, activities of daily living and communication with referral sources and families.

The Horsham Clinic is a 206-bed, private behavioral healthcare facility located on a beautiful 55-acre suburban campus in Montgomery County. We are minutes from Philadelphia and serve patients and families from southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
