Caretenders, a part of LHC Group, is hiring a Social Worker - Per Diem to provide medical social services under physician direction. The role focuses on social and emotional factors affecting patient health and coping strategies, with a supportive interdisciplinary team.

Eligible candidates hold a Master's in Social Work, a valid driver's license, and state social work licensure. CPR certification and health-care social work experience are preferred.

As the Social Worker - Per Diem, provides medical social services under the direction of a physician and Interdisciplinary Group to assist in the understanding of significant social and emotional factors related to the patient's health status and in development of coping mechanisms.

Social Worker - Per Diem

Required Qualifications:

• Master's Degree from a school of Social Work accredited by the Council of Social Work
• Current Driver's License, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation

Additional State Specific Requirement:

• AL, AR, CA, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, IN, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MN, MS, NJ, NM, NV, OH, OR, SC, TX, WI,WV: Licensed as a Social Worker from the State Board of Social Work

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
• Licensed Social Worker in the state of residence
• 1+ years of social work experience in a health care setting
