Job summary

AHMC HealthCare in Riverside, CA seeks a dedicated social worker to join our multidisciplinary neonatal care team. You will plan treatment and continuing care, provide psychosocial evaluations, and support families of seriously ill neonates and infants facing complex psychosocial issues.

You will screen high-risk patients, respond to referrals, and assist patients and families in selecting and using appropriate services within the hospital system.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field (Psychology, Sociology, or Marriage and Family Therapy).
• One year of acute care experience preferred.

• Plan treatment and continuing care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide psycho-social evaluations for patients and address issues affecting families of seriously ill neonates/infants.
• Screen high-risk patients and respond to referrals, assisting families in selecting services.

Serve as a member of the multidisciplinary team in planning treatment and continuing care for patients, provide psycho‑social evaluations, and address psychosocial issues affecting families of seriously ill neonates/infants. Screen high‑risk patients including teenage mothers and those at risk of suicide or homicide, respond to referrals, and assist patients/families in selecting and using appropriate services.

Graduate from an accredited school with a Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field such as Psychology, Sociology, or Marriage and Family Therapy. One year of experience in the acute care setting is preferred.
