Charles Evans Center (CEC) in Seaford, NY seeks a Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW) or Mental Health Counselor for up to 10 hours/week, with daytime hours required.

Responsibilities

• Attend annual agency QA training including fire safety, mandated reporting and universal precautions.
• Initiate and maintain contact with other agency departments regarding patients as needed.

In this vital role, you will:

• Conduct all aspects of psychotherapy with individuals, families, couples or groups according to caseload assigned.
• Attend supervisory sessions as scheduled and demonstrate motivation for learning and willingness to take direction.
• Attend weekly social work meetings arriving promptly, participating actively in the process and assuming responsibility for rotating presentations.
• Attend annual agency training for Quality Assurance including fire safety, mandated reporting of abuse and universal precautions.
• Initiate and maintain contact with other agency departments regarding your patients as necessary and appropriate in the service of quality treatment.

We require:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling
• Current NYS License in LMSW/LCSW or LMHC
• Strong clinical experience, required
