Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian, Columbia, is seeking a Social Worker for the Neurology Unit on day shift (4x10). The role focuses on psychosocial assessment, discharge planning, and continuity of care for patients and families from around the world.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support coping with illness and daily functioning. Required: MSW, LMSW in NY within 1 year if new graduate; preferred: inpatient Medical/Surgical experience and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• MSW required and NY LMSW licensure or eligibility with timeline.
• Inpatient Medical/Surgical experience preferred for discharge planning.
• Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care.

Preferred Criteria

• At least one year of inpatient Medical/Surgical experience
• Discharge Planning experience

Required Criteria

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)
• New York State License as a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW)
• If a new graduate Social Worker, Limited Permit (must supply exam date prior to start of employment) and must have Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) by the State of New York within 1 year of hire

Salary Range

$43.86-$58.73/Hourly
