Michigan Medicine is seeking a 0.5 FTE Social Work (MSW) FLOAT to cover outpatient specialty clinics and continuity care during vacancies and leaves. The role involves high-autonomy psychosocial interventions and close collaboration with medical teams across pediatric settings.

0.5 FTE (20 hrs) Social Work (MSW) FLOAT position, job share partner with another 0.5 FTE Float, responsible for social work coverage spanning outpatient specialty clinics and continuity clinical coverage (inpt/outpt) during vacancies, leaves of absence, Social Worker of the Day coverage, and coverage of social work referrals from unallocated pediatric/ob clinics, additional coverage as determined by Social Work manager.

This position will primarily work out of C.S. Mott Hospital and Von Voightlander Women's Hospital, with additional coverage possible across Michigan Medicine pediatric specialty clinics.

This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.Advancement through the career ladder at the Expert or Clinical Scholar Level is required for placement in the MSW Senior Classification
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
