McLaren Health Care in Detroit, MI, seeks a Licensed Master Social Worker to provide assessment and intervention to help clients and families address health-related social and economic challenges.

You will conduct interviews, set goals, refer to resources, and collaborate with other agencies; may provide individual or family therapy as indicated.

This full-time role offers opportunities to work within a multidisciplinary team to improve patient well-being.

Qualificações

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited educational institution.
• Current license or eligibility for licensure as a Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Michigan.
• Preferred: prior experience; BLS certification by the American Heart Association; Oncology or Medical Social Work experience; internship at a medical facility.

Job Summary

Provides assessment and intervention to assist clients/families to improve social and economic difficulties interfering with health and wellness through use of casework process and principles, strategies, and community resources.

Qualifications

Required:

• Masters degree in Social Work from accredited educational institution
• Current license or eligibility for licensure as a Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of Michigan.

Preferred:

• Prior experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as a Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association.
• Oncology or Medical Social Work experience is preferred.
• Internship completed at a medical facility is preferred.
