Job summary

LCMC Health in New Orleans, LA seeks a Social Worker (LMSW/LCSW) to support psychiatric care. The role includes completing social histories, setting treatment goals, and coordinating with families and referral sources.

Minimum qualifications include LMSW/LCSW or PLPC/LPC licenses in Louisiana, plus American Heart Association BLS and CPI certification. Day shifts are typical.

Qualifications

• Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) license in Louisiana or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in Louisiana or Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC/LPC) license in Louisiana.
• American Heart Association BLS.
• CPI obtained in orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of care to the psychiatric patient with acute behavioral disorder or exacerbation of a chronic psychiatric illness.
• Complete a social history on all patients and participate in setting treatment goals.
• Keep family members and referral sources abreast of the treatment process as permitted by patient consent.
• Assist all program staff in maintaining a stable treatment milieu and assist in program development.
