The Social Worker-LICSW at BMCHS Brighton Outpatient Psychiatry Department provides individual counseling, crisis intervention, and psychosocial assessments under supervision of the Chair of Psychiatry and Outpatient Medical Director.
This role involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, coordinating referrals, documenting care plans, and supporting patients and families through illness adjustment and bereavement, with telehealth and in-person visits.
The Social Worker-LICSW is a clinician responsible for social work services for patients within the BMC Brighton Outpatient Psychiatry Department under the direct supervision of the Chair of Psychiatry and Outpatient Medical Director. This individual is part of the interdisciplinary psych team providing psychotherapy in an outpatient setting. This includes crisis intervention for patients including assessment and treatment of emotional and behavioral problems. Appointments are based on referrals and scheduling consists of telehealth and in person visits.
Master's Degree in Social Work and 0-2 years of experience working with patients and families who are in crisis; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
1-2 years of experience with patients with major trauma, infectious disease, and/or emotional upset.
Current Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work in the state of Massachusetts
Ability to work with patients who are in crisis.
$64,000.00- $93,000.00
