Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker required.
• LMSW or PLPC considered with understanding that LPC or LCSW license is expected within 3 years of employment.
• General knowledge of psychosocial principles; procedures, techniques of acceptable patient care, grief, loss, and related counseling skills.

Requirements

• Education/Skills
• Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker required. An LMSW or PLPC would be considered with understanding that LPC or LCSW license is expected within 3 years of employment. General knowledge of psychosocial principles; procedures, techniques of acceptable patient care, grief, loss, and related counseling skills.
• Experience
• 2 years experience as a salaried (as opposed to volunteer) social worker with at least 1 year counseling experience in mental health field preferred. Current Louisiana drivers license required; verification of auto liability insurance required.
• Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
• Current LCSW or LPC license required. LMSW or PLPC accepted. LCSW or LPC required within 36 months.
• BLS required.
• Current de-escalation training or completion within 90 days of employment with annual recertification.
