Job summary

MemorialCare Medical Group in Lakewood, CA is seeking an experienced Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for an outpatient practice. Responsibilities include prenatal care, comprehensive histories, and OB management in an Epic EMR environment.

The base salary ranges from $126,000 to $158,000 with an annual incentive plan and comprehensive benefits. Hours are M–F, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with no after-hours call and about 15–21 patients per day.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in Women’s Health or related field as a NP or PA; 3+ years preferred.
• California NP or PA licensure is required or in process.
• Board certification in Women’s Health is preferred, BLS current.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations.
• Provide prenatal care throughout all stages of pregnancy for OB patients.
• Interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests; implant contraception.
• See new OB patients and manage obstetric care within EMR (Epic).

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join MemorialCare’s growing Ob/Gyn and Family Medicine practice in Lakewood, CA.

Practice Information & Position Details

• Employment opportunity with MemorialCare Medical Group
• 100% Outpatient
• Hours of operation:Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
• No after hours call
• Average 15 to 21 patients per day
• EMR: Epic
• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations
• Implant contraception (e.g., IUD placement, Nexplanon, etc.)
• See new OB patients. Provide prenatal care throughout all stages of pregnancy.
• Interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests

Experience

• 1+ year of experience in Women’s Health or related field as a NP or PA; 3+ years preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in Obstetrics strongly preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR system highly preferred

Education & Licensure

• California Nurse Practitioner and Furnishing licensure or California Physician Assistant license
• Current, active, unrestricted licensure as an NP or PA
• Successful completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Board certification in Women’s Health (Preferred)
• Current BLS
• NPI and DEA
