An established industry player in social services seeks a compassionate and skilled Social Worker II to join their team. This role involves assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, and managing caseloads for vulnerable populations including elders and disabled individuals. Under general supervision, assesses client needs and develops treatment plans in various social service functions.
In the IHSS program, Social Worker II's may be assigned to case carrying, evaluating, and assessing yearly service needs based on Medi-Cal, Medicare, and SSI eligibility. Candidates must be able to conduct field visits for initial and yearly reevaluations.
In the APS program, Social Worker II's may assess and document reports on elder or dependent adult abuse and neglect, investigate allegations, and document case-related activities. Critical thinking skills and the ability to develop professional partnerships with multidisciplinary teams, county and community programs, and law enforcement are highly desired. A Master's Degree in Social Work is preferred for APS positions.
Bilingual candidates and those with cultural competency in serving diverse backgrounds (Latino, African, Asian) are encouraged to apply. Fluency in languages such as Vietnamese, Mandarin, Russian, Spanish, Cantonese, Farsi, and Hindi should be specified in the application. Fluency will be tested, and passing the language exam is a condition of employment.
Hired candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000, subject to change. Salary increases are scheduled for June 23, 2025 (4%) and June 22, 2026 (4%). Additional benefits include paid differentials for bilingual or assignment-specific skills.

Master's degree in Social Work or related field and two years of social work experience, OR a Bachelor's degree and four years of experience. Substitute graduate training for experience on a year-for-year basis. A valid California driver’s license is required.
Ability to establish rapport, work cooperatively, interpret laws, prepare reports, manage caseloads, and respond to clients' cultural values.
