Responsibilities

• Guide and counsel individuals and families in crisis, ranging from the unemployed to children needing foster homes to elderly people who have no one to care for them.
• Assist clients in obtaining government funds, education, or treatment.
• Secure information such as medical, psychological, and social factors contributing to the client’s situation; evaluate these factors and the client’s capacities.
• Help patients and families through individual or group conferences regarding plans for meeting needs, mobilizing inner capacities, and environmental resources to improve social functioning.
• Help the client modify attitudes and patterns of behavior by increasing understanding of self and personal problems.
• Develop a service plan designed to restore the patient to optimum social and health adjustment within the patient’s capacity.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work
• Five or more years of clinical social work experience

Compensation

USD $45.00 / Hour
