The MSAHC advances adolescent and young adult health as a national imperative by serving as a leading center of clinical care, specialized training, innovative research and advocacy.
The A28 Social Worker will provide social work services to at risk adolescents from 10-26y/o and their families in an integrated medical and mental health primary care setting at MSAHC. She/he/they will provide short term individual, family, and group psychotherapy, intense case management, crisis intervention, and health education as part of an interdisciplinary medical and mental health service model. A28 SW will consult with medical providers who are working with high-risk patients with both medical and mental health needs and conduct clinical assessments on patients referred by medical providers. These include providers within primary care and child and adolescent psychiatry. All A28 SW’s will participate developing an innovative model to engage and retain adolescents who have a variety of psychosocial needs, particularly focusing on individuals with a history of trauma (e.g. sexual abuse, domestic violence, community violence, physical abuse.)
Provide social work services to high-risk adolescents who are HIV positive and who are high risk for contracting HIV, and their families at AHC in the context of a team approach-Project IMPACT. The social worker will provide intense Medical case management, crisis intervention, short-term and ongoing individual, family, and group supportive counseling services, as part of an inter-disciplinary supportive case management and medical team. Social worker will also participate in developing strategies to recruit and retain adolescents who are at high risk for HIV and those who are HIV positive in care.
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $88,691.00 - $101,670.78 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
