Job summary

LDH-South Central Louisiana Human Services Authority seeks a compassionate Social Worker 4 to provide advanced behavioral health services within our community programs at the Behavioral Health Crisis Center in Thibodaux, LA. The position requires an MSW, an active Louisiana LCSW license, and at least three years of social services experience.

Appointment is probationary, and starting salary depends on education and experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients and recommend the proper level of behavioral health treatment.
• Interview clients to assess needs and problems such as education, employment, physical and mental impairment in order to determine the degree and nature of problems related to behavioral health.
• Provide advanced clinical services through individual, family, and/or group counseling to a complex caseload of behavioral health clients.
• Prepare person-centered plans for clients based on recommended levels of care.
• Provide both written and verbal documentation and consultation to other agencies.
• Assist the clinic manager in designing and implementing programs that address community needs.

Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) plus: A master's degree in social work followed by three years of social services experience.
