Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW preferred)
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in an educational or clinical setting
- Strong understanding of child development, mental health, trauma‑informed care, and crisis intervention
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, administrators, and behavior specialists
- Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to equity and inclusion
Responsibilities
- Provide counseling and support services to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
- Serve as a liaison between school families and community resources
- Assist in crisis situations and facilitate referrals to outside services when needed
- Collaborate with staff to support student success in both academic and personal development
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold ethical and confidentiality standards
