We are looking for a trusted behavioral health provider serving the Chapel Hill community for over 50 years, is seeking a full-time Social Worker to join our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team.

In this role, you'll make a lasting impact by providing individual and group therapy, completing clinical assessments, and supporting clients in crisis. You'll work closely with individuals navigating behavioral health or substance use challenges, offering care grounded in empathy, active listening, and professional excellence.

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 annually

Reports To: Clinical Director

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy for adults, adolescents, and/or children with behavioral health or substance use disorders.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, treatment planning, and progress documentation.
  • Offer crisis management and de-escalation support while maintaining a calm, supportive presence.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure treatment goals are met.
  • Support clients in developing healthy coping strategies, relapse prevention skills, and life goals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system (EMR).
  • Engage with community resources and referrals to ensure clients receive comprehensive care.
Qualifications
  • Education : Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Licensure : Must hold two of the following (active and in good standing): LCSW, LCSWA, LCMHC, LCMHCA, LCAS, LCASA, LMFT, or LMFTA.
  • Experience :
    • Minimum 2 years of mental health counseling experience.
    • At least 1 year working with individuals with substance use disorders (SUDs).
    • Experience facilitating individual and group counseling sessions.
  • Skills :
    • Exceptional empathy, active listening, and communication skills.
    • Strong crisis management abilities with a calm, composed demeanor.
    • Effective time management and documentation skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
    • Knowledge of North Carolina's public mental health system and local resources.
