Job summary

Horizon Health, in partnership with CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern, NC, seeks a Social Worker/Therapist for its Behavioral Health Program. You will conduct assessments, develop safety and treatment plans, and provide group, individual, and family therapies.

Requirements include a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Mental Health Counseling, a valid NC license (LCSW-A/LCSW/LCMHC-A/LCMHC), and at least one year of related experience; strong communication and documentation

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• A Master’s Degree form an accredited college with a major in Social Work, Psychology, or Mental Health Counseling.
• Must have a valid state license as required by North Carolina in which the Social Worker/Therapist will be providing services (LCSW-A, LCSW, LCMHC-A, LCMHC). Minimum of one-year experience in a similar position.
• Ability to effectively present information in small group and one-on-one settings to patients, families, coworkers, and program leadership.
• Ability to complete clinically significant documentation.
• Emotional regulation is essential. Maintains a positive attitude while in the facility and in all work-related activities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in windows-based software applications.
