Job summary

The University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, KS seeks an adjunct faculty member for the social work program. This is a pool position; applications stay active for up to two years and may be used to fill openings as they arise.

Responsibilities include teaching assigned courses from the regular curriculum, preparing syllabi, evaluating student learning outcomes, and fostering an inclusive educational environment while maintaining records and advising students via electronic communications.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work required.
• Affinity with the Mission of the University of Saint Mary.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes as assigned from the regular social work program curriculum.
• Prepare syllabi and deliver curriculum appropriate for the course assigned.
• Respond to student needs and feedback in a timely manner.
• Assess the course learning outcomes.
• Foster an inclusive educational environment to serve all learners.
• Maintain student attendance records in accordance with university policy.
• Submit mid-term and final grades on time.
• Advise and/or mentor students through electronic communications and other appropriate methods.
• Complete all required training, including training on Engage LMS.
• Perform other duties as required.
